What is Juvederm?

Juvederm is very similar to Restylane (Pepsi versus Coke) and is an FDA-approved dermal filler for mid-depth implantation into the skin for the correction of moderate facial folds. Juvederm improves your appearance by lifting and adding volume to the wrinkles and folds in the treatment area. Juvederm is also indicated for submucosal implantation for lip augmentation in patients over the age of 21.

Juvederm is comprised of biotechnologically engineered, non-immunogenic, stabilized hyaluronic acid gel particles. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in all living organisms and provides volume and fullness to the skin.

Juvederm is formulated as a clear gel and uses a dual mechanism of action to correct moderate wrinkles and folds. Upon being injected beneath the skin’s surface, Juvederm gel integrates into dermal tissue then attracts and binds to water molecules to help maintain volume. Juvederm is gradually degraded by the body’s own mechanism and disappears without any residue. Results can be seen immediately following Juvederm injections.

Pre-Treatment Instructions

Arnica is to be taken the day before your appointment (take as recommended on the back of the bottle) and the morning of your appointment, we have found that there is much less bruising and swelling even with lip injections, thus a more favorable outcome with less down time! Arnica is a naturopathic anti-inflammatory that helps with swelling and bruising. You will also need to make sure you are not currently taking antibiotics and have been off of them for 10 days prior and are not taking any Ibuprofen product or blood thinners, do not stop taking any medications without consulting your Doctor first. Please make sure you are not currently pregnant or nursing and come in to your appointment with a clean face to eliminate any bacteria and the risk of infection. If you have currently received any dental work please wait 2 weeks before treatment and let our front desk team know if you are prone to cold sores or fever blisters prior to treatment. Children are also not allowed in our treatment rooms for safety of the child, patient and provider and children cannot be left un-monitored in the lobby during treatment. Cosmos Salon and Medspa's Policies

  • Please arrive on time for your appointment to allow us to keep our providers on schedule and arrive 10 minutes early for a Med Spa appointment to allow time for any medical forms we may need completed.
  • Any guest at or more than 10 minutes late for an appointment can be rescheduled automatically.
  • In the event that you need to cancel your appointment we request 24 hours notice so that we may accommodate the needs of other clients. In case of a same day cancellation or if you were to not show up for your appointment, you may be subject to a $25 fee.
  • We can request a client put an active credit card on file for chronic scheduling issues or any services that take up a provider's schedule in length.
  • Some services do require consultations prior and this does not guarantee treatment.
  • Non appearance for a gift card appointment may result in 100% of the service fee being charged against the gift card.
  • Due to necessary home care we provide a 48 hour guarantee on most services as long as recommended home care products were used.
  • Additional manufacturer guarantees may apply.
  • Product purchases may be exchanged within 14 days. Hair pieces, brushes & gift cards cannot be returned or exchanged. Gift Card purchases will be returned as an account credit only, never given back as cash. Cash purchases will be an account credit to use on future purchases, services or product.
  • We will happily reschedule your appointment if you have unsupervised children that are not receiving services. This is for their safety & the relaxation of our guests. Thank you for your cooperation.
  • Please ensure your cell phone is on silent when entering the spa so any treatments and services being performed and other guests are not interrupted.
  • Gratuities are always welcome, never required and are never part of your service total.
  • Service prices are subject to change without notice.

  • Monthly specials are only valid within the time frame specified and services must be rendered within that time frame.
